The brief
A club run from the side of the court.
Mourne Basketball fields teams from under-8s to senior men. Fixtures lived on the league's website, changes travelled by word of mouth, and coaches kept squads, team sheets and who-can-play across group chats and paper. The old WordPress site couldn't keep up with any of it.
What we did
- 1
Let the league be the source
Fixtures, results and tables come in from the Basketball NI league site every morning, so nobody retypes them.
- 2
Tell the right people
When the league changes a game, that team's coach hears about it on their phone, and the club gets an email of what changed.
- 3
Build the hub
A phone-first app on the coaches' home screens: their week, squads, team sheets and who can play.
- 4
Look after children's data
Medical notes locked down, share links that stop working at tip-off, and match graphics that never show a player.
The result
What they can do now
- See fixtures and results update themselves every morning
- Cancel or move a training session in a few taps
- Share a game to WhatsApp and see who can play
- Make matchday graphics for Instagram without opening Canva
- Give parents a calendar feed for their child's team
